We would be remiss if we didn't send out a huge THANK YOU to all of our family and friends that have rallied around us during this time. While we really haven't taken you up much on your offers of phone calls, watching the kids, making dinners, cleaning our house (watch out what you offer...ha ha) yet, it just has been awesome, uplifting to feel the support from our family, friends, church, home group and school that we have.
Some specific passages from the Bible have been timely and especially encouraging lately too.
Isiah 50:7 And the Master, GOD, stays right there and helps me, so I'm not disgraced. Therefore I set my face like flint, confident that I'll never regret this.
James 1:2 - 6 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get his help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who "worry their prayers" are like wind-whipped waves.
