Whew, what a long day. Janis has made it thru her surgery and through the recovery time. I am posting this as she is being moved upstairs to her room for the night. I am going to head back in and see how its going before camping out or heading home for the night.
Janis is doing well after the surgery. The cancer was removed from the breast and that was good. On the down-side, they checked the sentinal lymph nodes and found that there was cancer in there so they have pulled out some more nodes for testing. This will determine the extent (stage) of the cancer. We won't know the specifics of that information until probably Monday. Even with this news, our next step is chemotherapy...so the plans are still set to be going forward with that (this was the plan regardless of the node results).

So glad to hear that Janis is doing well after the surgery. You have been awesome Jeff and a wonderful husband and support to her. We all love all of you, and you are in our thoughts and prayers constantly. Love, Kelly, Michael & Jessica, and Casey!!
